However, the telephone operators break records in terms of number of subscribers every year. Is there negligence in terms of good practices (//BCOP - Best Current Operational Practice//)? …**//are open standards (properly) implemented in our network infrastructures?//** **//Is there an operating deficit or a lack of knowledge of the power and role of (//standardized//) metrics for evaluating the performance of IP networks?//** One thing, at least, is certain: there are only thirteen RIPE Atlas probes((https://atlas.ripe.net/probes/?af=&status=&country=CM&search=&order=__status__#!tab-public)), located in Cameroon, of which we have the trace and among them, just eleven have been connected during the last month. The measurements carried out from the PoPs of the Internet Exchange Point ([[http://camix.cm|CAMIX]]) are publicly accessible, but the traffic is so low that the same questions should be asked.
